Set up and work with Bookingkit

Use this guide to arrange the Bookingkit connection and handle imported bookings in KORONA Event. Bookingkit sends bookings through the API so their tickets can be used for admission.

Arrange activation

Contact your KORONA Event account manager or support first. They must prepare your account and provide the connection details before you activate the app in Bookingkit. Creating an API key alone does not complete setup.

Activation continues in Bookingkit's App Marketplace. The KORONA Event Admin > Integrations page has no Bookingkit activation form.

Follow Bookingkit's activation guide for current requirements and screens. Its setup flow covers:

  1. Using Businesskit or Prokit, enabling Extended Availability Management, disabling Resource Management, and preparing experiences and price categories in Bookingkit.
  2. Activating the Korona.event app and entering the supplied API endpoint and authorization token in its settings.
  3. Mapping experiences and prices to KORONA Event event templates or admissions and price categories, then saving. Map flex offers to admissions where needed.

Keep credentials private. For the KORONA Event access options, see Get API access and Create a service account for an integration; coordinate the access setup with the activation team.

Manage dates and booking changes

Maintain dates and availability in KORONA Event. Disable date-series creation in Bookingkit and coordinate booking cutoffs; Bookingkit recommends closing bookings ten minutes earlier to allow synchronization time.

Make changes and cancellations to Bookingkit bookings in Bookingkit. Direct edits to the KORONA Event order are not automatically sent back. For synchronization timing and supported offers, use Bookingkit's guide above.

Understand invoices and payments

Imported invoices can be marked paid without a payment transaction being created in KORONA Event. A paid invoice does not identify the customer's original payment method or prove that KORONA Event collected the money. Do not expect a Booking Kit payment label on every imported booking.

Use Bookingkit's payment records for the original payment method, collection status and refund options. Marking an invoice paid in KORONA Event does not collect money; changing its status or canceling an order does not itself return money to the customer.

Find an imported booking

Use the Bookingkit booking reference and the corresponding KORONA Event order number. An external reference or order channel can help when populated, but neither is guaranteed. Do not identify a booking by payment method alone.

If a booking or update is missing, contact support with both references before manually recreating or moving it. Customer name, email and date can help confirm a match but may identify more than one booking.
